Child Protection
In “Africa” kids are ignored and the society around them torture them
physiologically.
But we know and believe that every child needs to be coiled from
violence, have a full life, and have the chance to become who God
created them to be. Where we work, we build a safety net of loving
people to protect children, prevent harm and ensure that those who are
harmed receive the help they need to recover.
We are working hard and promising to make a better future for
children. Despite our efforts, hundreds and hundreds still don’t have
access to what they need to thrive.
• Child neglect, defilement and domestic violence are among the
leading crimes in Uganda
• 65% of children in upper primary and lower secondary report physical violence
• 15% of young girls in Uganda get married at 15 to 16 years of age
• 50% are married by the age of 18.
