Welcome to Ngalo: Extending a Helping Hand
In the heart of our organization lies the meaning of our name, “Ngalo” – “A hand that can help.” Founded in December 2019, Ngalo Children Initiative Uganda emerged as a calling, inspired by the words of Genesis 12:1-2. While our foundation is deeply rooted in Christian values, we proudly embrace an interdenominational spirit, extending a warm and open-hearted welcome to individuals from all faiths and beliefs.
At Ngalo, our primary focus is on providing unwavering support to those who need it the most. We have a special emphasis on Orphans, Widows, Street Kids, and various other marginalized communities. Our dream is to see our land flourish and a vibrant community center built, as we firmly believe that this is the key to transforming the lives of the people we serve.

Ngalo Children Initiative Uganda was founded in December 2019. On 27th May 2021, Ngalo Children Initiative Uganda was Incorporated as a Charity / Non-profit organization.
Mission
To fight end child abuse , school drop outs and malnutrition.

Our work aims at a world in which every child attains the right to survival, protection, development and participation.

The Goal of NCI is to to alleviate poverty.
We are currently running over 5 programs including the Back to school program, Early Education, Child Protection, Girl Child Empowerment, Vocational Skills Training, Support For Widows and Soccer Academy.

Back to School Program
Our “Back to School Program” is designed to be a beacon of hope for children in need. This initiative focuses on providing access to quality education, essential school supplies, and a supportive learning environment to underprivileged children.
Growing Child Talent Program
At Ngalo Children Initiative, we believe that every child possesses unique talents and gifts. Our “Growing Child Talent Program” is dedicated to identifying, nurturing, and celebrating the talents of children, providing them with opportunities to shine and grow.
Girl Child Empowerment Program
We are committed to fostering gender equality and empowering girls to reach their full potential. Our “Girl Child Empowerment Program” is a dedicated initiative aimed at providing opportunities and support to girls in marginalized communities.
Clean Water Program
We understand the vital importance of clean water in a child’s life. Our “Clean Water Program” is dedicated to ensuring that children in underserved communities have access to safe and clean drinking water, laying the foundation for a healthier and brighter future.
Support to Widows Program
At Ngalo Children Initiative, we recognize the unique challenges faced by widows and their children. Our “Support to Widows Program” is dedicated to providing essential assistance, resources, and support to empower these resilient women in their journey towards self-sufficiency and brighter futures for their families.
How we work
We are empowering youth and their families with the necessary skills to develop and sustain their livelihoods that, in turn, allow them to break the cycle of poverty.
The objectives of Ngalo Children Initiative Uganda are:
- To eliminate illiteracy.
- To promote and encourage education in different areas of studies.
- To educate and promote different forms of farming (Agriculture).
- To develop talents of the children through soccer therapy.
- To improve the livelihood of the people in the community and those around us.
- To organize bible studies for widows, orphans and the elderly people.
